Changing Our Perceptions of Chronic Pain [ONLINE]
October 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Living with chronic pain can be a daily struggle. The symptoms of frustration, anger, depression, anxiety, and other associated issues it causes can turn into a terrible negative cycle and elevate our suffering to incapacitating levels. Psychedelics or Entheogens have been shown to help change our perceptions of the pain, which can greatly reduce how deeply it affects our lives, and in turn help quiet our overall level of physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering.
Please join us for a talk on ways this can be accomplished and why this has been shown to be so effective. This will be followed by a Q&A session.
Michael Jones has dealt with severe chronic pain issues from Ankylosing Spondylitis for over 20 years. He has worked with traumatic brain injured clients, emergency medicine in the ER, as well as nearly 15 years assisting in a large variety of surgical specialties and trauma in the OR, the last 6 of which were spent as a first assist in the Open Heart Surgical Suite before his progressive condition disabled him. Working with plant medicines has helped him to deal with the pain in constructive ways and reduce his own overall suffering.
