Oregon Health Care Professionals and Psychedelics [ONLINE]
September 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join our open discussion this month.
We alternate speakers and general discussion the first wed. of every month. We alternate speakers and discussion groups. We’ll interrupt that normal cycle for the Nov. elections which have two significant ballot measures.
On Sept. 2, we will be discussing IP 44, which proposes moving from a criminal approach to drug use, to a public health approach, more or less ending the 50 year old ‘drug war’. Our aim is to have a lively (respectful) discussion of the pros and cons of this proposal, and how it might impact the health care professions in the state. If there is an organized opposition to this proposal, we’re not aware of it. Thus we particularly invite those opposed to this measure to join.
The following month we will discuss IP34, which would legalize psilocbyin-assisted therapy in Oregon. We will also discuss the pros and cons of this proposal and we anticipate that this will be a lively discussion as well. All, of every opinion, are heartily invited to both.
We are a volunteer supported organization and request/suggest a donation of $5 to help cover the cost of the event and to support future events (no one turned away). Your participation is appreciated.
